000.100 - Time for a little infiltration...
So, I think it is time to start a bit hands-on spying at the other team.

Now, on to designing an avatar that is able to keep incognito there. Human, obviously. Or at least, human-like in an organic way.

Any suggestions as to the look... or the perceived gender?

I think dumb male would be your best bet. Glasses maybe? Not too straight laced though.

I also think you should pull the "wounded bird" strategy. If they're too busy fluttering over whether or not you're okay, it will be easier to pull off.

[private]
we could even stage an 'attack' on you in plain site to give you legitimacy. That would be risky, though. You can imitate wounds in that form, can't you?

I also extend my offer to go with you as your "pet bird" if you so wish it. I could be an unassuming extra pair of eyes in that place, and in that form I am quite small. *shrug* It's up to you, though.

Agreed. The avatar must not look threatening in any way.

Pull at their heartstrings~ 'Boohoo, I need help. Asgard will rescue you!

That I can do.

One dose of 'damsel in distress' is in the works. They will never know what hit them.

Yep.

A little question: would be so nice and help in creating the proper 'background' for my little spywork? To make it authentic, the avatar needs to be 'roughed up' a bit.

Hmmm, I see what you mean~ Well, I don't quite want those Asgards to know it's me, but I can fix up something that'll do the job. How 'bout a Venus fly trap monster~?

*bows* Always welcome.

That is good to know. In a little while you can meet 'Tristan' and show him your cute plant.

That reminds me... any preferences as to the eye colour?

Green eyes... as you wish.

I'll even add some glasses to make the Clark Kent effect more... nerdy.

Like an incompetent version of Clark Kent? Yeah, that would work.

[private]
That would be even better. And yes, I can imitate wounds.

Even though most of my missions so far have been solo, I'm not disinclined to take your offer. A team can work quite good for an infiltration.

Clark Kent was exactly what I was thinking. We appear to be on the same page > : )

[private]
Who can we trust to 'attack' you? Emerald? I would not suggest Sal.

I do not generally work in teams either for this sort of thing, but this time around I get the distinct feeling that it would be a good idea. One thing I promise you, Jazz. You can trust me to have you back over there. Can I ask you for the same?

Then CK it will be. *g*

And now I have to wreck my brain as to the details of Mrs Kent's nice and honest offspring's looks. Long hair would be detrimental to the over-all effect?

[private]
No, not Sal. He seems a bit too unstable for what we need. The Prince of the tower would have too much fun with it, though he has the needed control. And you'd not like the Light in this game, I assume? It seems like Emerald is the best choice.

Those who know my name I never attack from their back. So yes, you can ask for the same trust you put in me.

I can dig long hair. And may I suggest a name (though you most certainly do not have to take it)? I've always been rather fond of the name Tristan, myself. I think it would be quite dashing in combination with your nice boy looks ^_~

[private]
It's settled then. Let me know when you get things set up with Emerald and we can plan out our little bit of theater.

But a good raid can only work perfectly of someone was already there and found out how much there is to pilfer and destroy.

Even Djingis Khan had his 'scouts'.

Might I bring up a point?

In the Bible, God is said to be omniscient. What if he already knows you will try to infiltrate? This may end off worse than you think.

Oh, I'm sure this God knows all about it. He would't be a god if he didn't know. But I'm also sure that he won't tell his team because that would ruin his game.

As the saying tells is: Trust in the Cube but make sure your joints are well oiled.

Thanks.

If you had anything to make the illusion more realistic, I'd be grateful. I can pretty much duplicate anything from an organic body, but mistakes do happen.

[info]midnight_prince

Illusions are my speciality. Perhaps I could place a spell on the avatar, or I could give you a device that would also help smooth out any mistakes.

But... this question comes a bit late. For this I apologize.

Is your stuff even compatible to my tech?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]midnight_prince
2008-05-11 01:43 pm UTC (link)
Hmm. That is a good question.

My world did develop quite a bit of technology, thanks to an ambitious few. We have televisions, recording devices, photography... And, I mixed my magic with technology to create disguises and other things.

We would have to do some testing, but if it works, the avatar should look unassuming and unsuspicious.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]silverknight
2008-05-11 02:02 pm UTC (link)
Yeah, seems like it really needs testing.

Would one of your magic devices help with auras? Hiding or scrambling, something like that. From the comm lines I know that at least one of the other team reads energy auras, and a holo would still to a certain degree show my energy readings.

That's a fact that I cannot over-write. Re-aranging the frequencies is something that only one of our medics could do, and even they do it only when there is nothing left of our bodies to rebuilt.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]midnight_prince
2008-05-11 02:07 pm UTC (link)
Ah, yes, the Blythe girl.

I believe I could mask it... perhaps "mix" it enough that it would seem like the avatar's own aura. If it is energy, I can manipulate it somewhat.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]silverknight
2008-05-11 02:23 pm UTC (link)
I always wondered why it is so unusual for organics to read energy signatures. We can all do it, else we wouldn't be able to identify us properly; us being a chamelionide people and all.

This mix is exactly what I need.
